The Dinghy Store was established in March 1986 as a chandlery catering for yachts and dinghies. A few years later Whitstable Marine (a neighbouring shop) was acquired, this increased our range to include Mercury outboards, Sports Boats, Fishing Boats, and a full workshop facility for servicing outboards engines. Since 2015 both shops have taken the name "Whitstable Marine".

Our chandlery department carries a large variety of stock from major suppliers in the marine industry and our clothing department has large stocks of clothing from Musto, Gill, Magic Marine , Neil Pryde, wetsuits, drysuits, buoyancy aids, life jackets, thermal wear, fleece, casual jackets, boots, deck shoes and all types of accessories associated watersports.

We are always looking for ways to improve your experience both on-line and in-store, using the latest technology to provide you with the most detailed product information. Our staff are fully trained to be helpful and informative to provide you with the best advice and support along the way.

We’re a small, friendly and family run operation with our stores being located in the famous oyster town of Whitstable, Kent. So make sure you pay us a visit if you’re in the area; we’ll be sure to make you feel welcome, the sailing here can be great and the sea is only 100 metres away!
